Intuitive healing, Iridology, Joy touch, and MacrobioticsAn intuitive is a person who claims to have psychic powers of healing. Intuitive healer claims to heal disease by "insight" rather than by using medications. Iridology Iridology uses the study of iris to make diagnosis of various diseases. Iridology is based on the assumption that every organ in the human body has a corresponding location within the iris and that one can determine whether an organ is healthy or diseased by examining the iris rather than the organ itself. Joy touch Joy touch is an alternative medicine technique developed by Pete Sanders. He says it can help people lose weight, feel good, relax, quit smoking, eliminate life-threatening diseases, face the dentist, overcome fear of paranoia, transcend the body, get off drugs, become indifferent to the daily urges to rage and vent. The technique is reminiscent of meditating on the third eye in the middle of the forehead while silently humming OM! Macrobiotics Macrobiotics is a way of life and is tied to the Traditional Chinese medical concept of yin and yang. George Ohsawa (1893-1966) started the macrobiotics movement with the publication of his Zen Macrobiotics in 1965. Michio Kushi popularized the movement in the United States.
